Go to "Create with AI"

From your Teacher Dashboard, click the Create with AI button. This opens the AI quiz generator where you describe what you want and the AI builds it for you.

You need AI credits to generate quizzes. New accounts start with free credits. You can purchase more anytime from your dashboard.

Fill in the Quiz Details

The AI generation form has four fields:

Quiz Title
Name your quiz (e.g., "Chapter 5 Review: The American Revolution").
Topic / Prompt
Describe what the quiz should cover. The more specific you are, the better the questions will be.
Good: "Focus on the causes, major battles, and key figures of the American Civil War. Include questions about the Emancipation Proclamation."
Too vague: "History stuff"
Number of Questions
Choose 5 questions (1 credit) or 10 questions (2 credits).
Quiz Style
Choose from:
  • Multiple Choice Only — Standard 4-option questions with one correct answer
  • Select All That Apply — Multiple correct answers per question
  • Short Answer — Open-ended, free-response questions
  • Mix — A variety of all types

Generate & Review

Click Generate Quiz and wait about 10–20 seconds. The AI will create your questions, answer options, correct answers, and explanations for each question.

You will be taken directly to the Quiz Editor where you can:

  • Edit any question text, answer options, or explanations
  • Change the correct answer
  • Delete questions you don't want
  • Add more questions manually or with AI
Tip: Always review AI-generated questions before sharing with students. The AI is very good, but you know your curriculum best!

Add More Questions with AI

Inside the Quiz Editor, you can add individual AI-generated questions one at a time using the AI Generate button at the bottom of the page.

The AI Generate feature lets you:

  • Choose the question type (Multiple Choice, True/False, or Short Answer)
  • Provide a topic or specific instructions
  • The AI automatically avoids duplicating existing questions in the quiz

Individual AI questions cost 1 credit per 5 questions, so you can add several before a credit is used.

Share with Students

At the top of the Quiz Editor, you will find four sharing links:

Mode Description Best For
Exam (Login) Students must login. Assessments where you need to track individual scores
Exam (Open) No account needed. You can still track scores, but no login for students. They enter their name in text field at top of quiz.
Practice (Login) Instant feedback. Results saved. Study tool where students can retry until correct
Practice (Open) Instant feedback. Anonymous. Open review sessions, no login required.

Just copy the link and share it with your class via your LMS, email, or however you normally distribute links.

Bonus Features

A few more things you can do from the Quiz Editor:

  • Duplicate — Make a copy of the quiz to reuse with a different class or semester
  • Share with Teacher — Generate a link that another teacher can use to import a copy of your quiz into their own account
  • Canvas QTI — Download the quiz as a QTI zip file to import directly into Canvas LMS

Frequently Asked Questions

Generating a 5-question quiz costs 1 credit and a 10-question quiz costs 2 credits. Adding individual questions in the editor costs 1 credit per 5 questions. New accounts come with free credits to get started.

Absolutely! After the AI generates your quiz, you are taken to the editor where you can change anything — question text, answer options, correct answers, and explanations. You have full control.

Simply delete it and generate a new one using the AI Generate button. The AI is aware of your existing questions and will avoid duplicates. You can also just edit the question to fix it.

Yes! Click the Canvas QTI button in the editor to download a zip file you can import directly into Canvas. You can also just share the quiz link with students directly — no LMS required.

Yes! In the Quiz Editor, click Share with Teacher to generate a special share link. Send it to a colleague and they can import a fresh copy to their own account. They can edit it freely and your student data stays private.
